Exclusive Fashion Vault Sale Starts Monday

Hi everyone!  Well, today I am going to go off topic just a bit.  Yep, no Vera Bradley talk from me - can you believe it!  Anyway, I just found out about an exclusive Blowout Sale that starts on Monday (June 28, 2010 at 8:00 a.m. PDT, to be exact) from eBay's Fashion Vault.  It will feature designer brands, such as DKNY, Hugo Boss, and Cole Haan, at prices up to 90% off!

The Fashion Vault sale is a little different than your typical bid-and-win auction shopping scenario.  Here are the highlights... [Read more...]

Vera Bradley Spring 2010 Collection – Vintage is In!

The new Vera Bradley Spring 2010 collection has been in stores for a couple of weeks now, and I'm curious to hear what everyone thinks of them.   I have talked to a few people who mentioned they did not think they would like them based on pictures they had seen, but after getting a firsthand look, they were smitten!

Vera Bradley Spring 2010 Collection

A few of the new patterns were inspired by vintage fabrics.  I love almost everything vintage, and I think the designers did a great job bringing the past into the present with the Spring 2010 collection.  Although I'm anxiously looking forward to the summer styles, I do love these recent introductions.   [Read more...]

A Few More Vera Bradley Outlet Sale Updates

Hey everyone!  Well, I have been keeping an eye out for more news about the 2010 Vera Bradley Outlet Sale, and so far, there really hasn't been any announcements.  I'm not very good at waiting, so today I called the company to see if I could get any details...

First, I confirmed that the sale has been pushed back a day.  The new dates for the sale are indeed April 29 - May 1, 2010.

I crossed my fingers and asked if there would be a preview day.  They didn't have one last year, but in previous years, usually the first day of the sale was limited to ticketed customers.  Proceeds from the ticket sales were donated to the Vera Bradley Foundation.  I was hoping that was why they pushed back the date, so that they could use the 28th as a fundraiser for the Foundation.  I did not receive a positive yes or no.  Instead, I was told that it was "not likely".

Finally, I asked about registration requirements.  They do plan to do this again this year, but could not provide any specific details yet.  If I remember right, last year we didn't know about the registration requirements until mid-February, and the actual registration process didn't start taking place until mid-March.

That's all I have for now, but if I find out anything else, I will definitely share it here...

Merry Christmas!

I'm just taking a quick break from all the festivities to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas! May you have a safe and happy holiday, and if I don't post again until the new year, have a happy New Year too!

Vera Bradley Patterns Inspire Handmade Cards

I have talked a little bit here about how I love to scrapbook and make cards, and this morning I came across a challenge on the Split Coast Stampers forum that I had to share with everyone here...

The point of this challenge is that participants have to make handmade cards inspired by Vera Bradley patterns and colors.  Here is just a small sample of the cards submitted to the challenge so far:

Vera Bradley Card

Raspberry Fizz Vera Bradley Card

Mediterranean White Vera Bradley Card

Purple Punch Vera Bradley Card

Beautiful, aren't they!  Can you tell what pattern was used as inspiration for each card? [Read more...]

It’s That Time of the Year: the 2010 Vera Bradley Planner

I can't get over the fact that I'm already talking about the 2010 Vera Bradley Planner, but time flies, and the new year is really only a couple of months away!  I already have a handful of appointments scheduled for next year, so even though it seems much too early to be talking about this topic, I have to be planning for January 1 and the days that follow.

This year's agenda is 7" x 8½" x 1½" and features a one inch three ring binder design.  The calendar is tab-separated and runs from August 2009 through December 2010 - yep, that means you can starting using it right away, rather than waiting until next year (one more reason to get it now!).  It also includes 164 pages with lists, a movable pocket, bookmark, and sticker sheet.  The 2010 Vera Bradley Planner comes in fall and winter's new signature colors - Pirouette, Carnaby, Blue Rhapsody, Symphony in Hue, Imperial Toile and Paprika. Spring 2009 Vera Bradley Outlet Sale Price List

Hey everyone! I have had several people request that I post the Spring 2009 Vera Bradley Outlet Sale price list. I just returned home from the sale, and I have to say, the prices are great! As always, I'm sure they will be marked down even more as the sale progresses, but there are some really good deals, even on day one!

One more thing, I do have some pictures and other information about the sale that I want to share with you. Look for another post from me later today, and of course, if you have any questions or want to make a comment about the sale, feel free to leave a quick note.

Anyway, enough chit chat. Here's the price list... [Read more...]

Vera Bradley Java Blue Not Retiring Yet!

Vera Bradley Java Blue
The Vera Bradley Java Blue fabric pattern once again escaped retirement. It's an unfortunate situation - when new products are released, other ones are pulled out of production and retired. I always hold my breath when I find out which ones will experience this fate, wondering if one of them will be a personal favorite.

I know lots of ladies that love the Vera Bradley Java Blue fabric pattern (me included!). However, it was released way back in 2006. All of the signature fabrics released that year (as well as preceding years) have went out of production, so I was worried that we might have to say goodbye. However, it looks like it will be around for a little while longer... [Read more...]

Did You Have a Merry Christmas?

I hope everyone had a safe and blessed Christmas!

I'm sorry I have been missing in action for a little while.  We had a terrible ice storm the Friday before Christmas.  It knocked out our power for three entire days.  As you can imagine, it put me a little behind on my holiday preparations, so some things (including posting here on this blog) got put to the backburner as I hustled and bustled around getting ready.

Anyway, everything is back to normal now.  We ended up having a wonderful Christmas (with electricity!) - I hope you and your family did too!
