2012 Vera Bradley Outlet Sale Ticket Information

It's that time of year again -- the 2012 Vera Bradley Outlet Sale is just around the corner! Tickets for those who want to attend the first three days of the sale (April 11, 12 & 13) will be available starting February 1, 2012.

Not much has changed since last year. Tickets are once again $5.00 per session and will be available through Ticketmaster.com, as well as the Allen County Coliseum ticket office. As a side note, if you purchase your passes through Ticketmaster, be prepared for their fees! Last year Ticketmaster's convenience charges and processing fees practically doubled the price of the tickets that I purchased.

If you do not want to purchase tickets, you can still attend during the weekend hours on Saturday and Sunday (April 14 & 15).

Tickets are required to attend the sale on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (April 11-13, 2011). There are four session times on each day, with 4000 tickets available for each session. Last year, there were 3000 tickets for each session, so expect slightly larger crowds this year. [Read more...]

Final Markdowns at the 2011 Vera Bradley Outlet Sale

Hi everyone!  I have had a few people send me emails and ask me questions here regarding what the prices and selection were like on the last day of the 2011 Vera Bradley Outlet Sale.  I took some notes when I was there Sunday afternoon, and I have posted them below for you to look over.  Of course, it's too late for this year, but it might be helpful for next year.

Also, my notes are a little rough, and I'm sure I missed some patterns when I was jotting things down.  They actually had a lot more than what you see listed here, but I had my six year old with me, and he got a little impatient with me (poor kid!).  Because of that, I do not have any information here regarding the selection and prices for the stationary and specialty lines, such as the microfiber and frill.

It was easy in and easy out Sunday afternoon.  We had no wait to get inside the sale, and surprisingly, there was also no wait to check out!  Overall, from my own experiences and from what I have heard from others, the 2011 sale ran much smoother than last year. [Read more...]

General Admission Days at the 2011 Vera Bradley Outlet Sale

It's Friday!!!  Today is the first general admission day of the 2011 Vera Bradley Outlet Sale!  No tickets are needed to enter the sale today, nor are they needed on Saturday or Sunday.

The first two days of the sale went smoothly, but that's no surprise, seeing that admission was limited to 3,000 ticket holders per shopping session.

A lot of people (me included!) have been wondering what these final three days of the sale will be like, and really, it just depends on how many people show up to shop.  For safety reasons, the number of people allowed into the shopping area is limited.  Once they hit the cap, the wait begins.  Wear comfortable shoes, bring a bottle of water and a snack, pack an umbrella (there's rain in the forecast for Friday & Saturday).  It's much easier to tolerate the long lines if you're prepared. Patterns & More at the 2011 Vera Bradley Outlet Sale

I promised I would provide another update about the 2011 Vera Bradley Outlet Sale, and I'm finally now doing it!  First of all, if you have not read my post from earlier today, check it out because it has the price list for many of the items at the sale.

Some have commented that the prices seem a little high compared to prior years, and for the most part, I have to agree.  Looking at the price list from last year, it seems that many of the signature handbag styles were priced $5 to $10 higher this year, although a few styles were about the same.  The Reversible Totes were my favorite bargain today, at just $25.99 this year (compared to $35.00 in 2010).  Prices on the wallets, stationary, and accessories were comparable to last year.

As far as patterns, I think this year had the greatest variety I have ever seen at the outlet sale!  I saw Java Blue, Sittin' in a Tree, Paprika, Loves Me, Blue Rhapsody, Carnaby, Purple Punch, Calypso, Twirly Birds Navy, Twirly Birds Pink, Bali Blue, Bali Gold, and Imperial Toile. For newer patterns (which usually sell out quickly), I saw Night & Day, Slate Blooms, Very Berry Paisley, Baroque, and Folkloric. There were also some older patterns too (probably left over from last year’s outlet sale), including Puccini, Pirouette, and Frankly Scarlet. I'm sure I left some out too! [Read more...]

Price List for the 2011 Vera Bradley Outlet Sale

Hi everyone! I just returned home from day one of the 2011 Vera Bradley Outlet Sale.  I know a lot of you are anxious to see the price list.  I have just finished typing it, and you can find it below.

I also have pictures, but I need to get them off of my phone and into my computer.  As soon as I do, I will post them, along with a few of my thoughts about this year's sale.

One more thing about the price list...

I wish I would have looked at it while I was at the sale, but I just grabbed it, put it in my bag, and set off on my big shopping spree.  I did not realize that it was not as detailed as prior years, and the prices of many of the products that were at the sale are not listed on it (i.e. cosmetic, tech and sunglass cases, many of the travel bags and accessories, microfiber and other specialty collections).  If I had realized it while I was at the sale, I would have jotted down prices on these items to share with you.   [Read more...]

The 2011 Vera Bradley Quilt

I was just on Twitter and came across the picture of the Vera Bradley quilt that will be on display at this year's outlet sale. One of a kind and handmade from the beautiful Twirly Birds Pink pattern, it's absolutely gorgeous! I have posted a picture of it below, so make sure you check it out...

I believe the drawing for the quilt will be in June. It usually costs a dollar or two to enter your name for the drawing, but it's well worth it, considering all the proceeds benefit the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer Research.

This year, there will also be a drawing for an adorable playhouse. The playhouse was donated by Window, Doors & More, a home improvement company here in Fort Wayne, and features a handpainted mural by local muralist Deb Miner. Proceeds from this drawing will also benefit the Foundation. [Read more...]

2011 Vera Bradley Outlet Sale Updates

It's been awhile since I provided any updates for the 2011 Vera Bradley Outlet Sale!  Can you believe it's less than a week away? I don't have too much to say yet - just a couple of reminders.  Next week I will have a lot more information.  As soon as I get home Wednesday, I plan to post the price list, along with any pictures I take.  Can't wait!

First, here's a fun video I found of last year's sale.  If you have never attended, it's a great little sneak peek of what to expect.  Or, if you have attended in the past, it may bring back some memories!  Just ignore the dates in the video (they're from 2010).

And now, for the reminders... [Read more...]

Two More Vera Bradley Outlet Stores Opening This Month!

The number of Vera Bradley Outlet Stores is set to double this month, with the grand opening of not one, but two more stores!

The first store, located in Texas at the San Marcos Premium Outlets, opened just this week, a little earlier than its previously scheduled grand opening of October 8th.

I have never been to Texas, but if I do visit there, this outlet center is on my list of places to stop.  It is one of the largest outlet shopping centers in the world, with 140 different stores, and it is also one of the most visited tourist attractions in Texas - go figure!  It sounds like a fun place to visit - hmmm, anyone in the mood for a road trip?

The second store is set to open at the Premium Outlets in Leesburg, Virginia, on Friday, October 22nd.  [Read more...]
