Day 3 Markdowns at the Vera Bradley Outlet Sale

I just returned home from Day 3 of the Vera Bradley Outlet Sale.  They still have a great selection, and now they are starting to mark their already low prices even lower.  Here's a quick look at some of the bargains I saw:

Curvy Totes (regular $62.00) - now only $10!  I picked up a few.  They had a great selection of colors available - Night Owl, Riviera Blue, Pinwheel Pink -  but they were going fast.

Cargo Sling (regular $90.00) - now only $15!  Again, they had a great selection, especially of the fall 2008 patterns, but some of the patterns were disappearing faster than they were being put on the table.

Baby Bags were only $35.00.  They still had a good selection of these, especially in both spring and fall 2008 patterns. Garment bags were under $30.  Large tic tac totes were around $15.00 - small ones were about $12.00. [Read more...]

Day One of the Spring 2009 Vera Bradley Outlet Sale

If you missed it, earlier today I posted the price list for the Spring 2009 Vera Bradley Outlet Sale. I am really excited about the prices this year. During previous sales, the prices generally started at 40% off, and were marked down a little more each day. This year, many of them are already starting at rock bottom! For example, the Cargo Sling, which normally retails for $90.00, was only $32.00. The Hipster, which costs about $55.00 full price, was only $18.00. Many of the items are starting at 60-70% off. I'm not sure how much more they will be marked down, but when I go back later this week, I will let you know. [Read more...]

Spring 2009 Vera Bradley Outlet Sale Price List

Hey everyone! I have had several people request that I post the Spring 2009 Vera Bradley Outlet Sale price list. I just returned home from the sale, and I have to say, the prices are great! As always, I'm sure they will be marked down even more as the sale progresses, but there are some really good deals, even on day one!

One more thing, I do have some pictures and other information about the sale that I want to share with you. Look for another post from me later today, and of course, if you have any questions or want to make a comment about the sale, feel free to leave a quick note.

Anyway, enough chit chat. Here's the price list... [Read more...]

Vera Bradley Outlet Sale Registration – Spring 2009

Hey everyone, I recently registered for the Vera Bradley Spring 2009 Outlet Sale. It's relatively quick and painless. Here are a few more details if you are thinking of doing the advance online registration...

The fee to do this is $5.00 per person. Only one registration per individual will be accepted. It's good for the entire five days of the sale, whether you plan to attend once or to attend multiple times.

Registrants must be 14 years of age or older, although children younger than fourteen can attend the sale. Actually, anyone (registered or not) can attend the sale. However, only those people who are registered can make purchases.

To avoid lines at the Outlet Sale, you may want to consider registering in advance. This can be done online by visiting:

https://www.evsminder.com/reg/verabradley/ftwayne09/attendee

PLEASE NOTE: Online registration is no longer available, but according to the Vera Bradley website, there is registration available on site at the Allen County Memorial Coliseum during the sale.

Step five of the pre-registration process does allow you to sign up other attendees. At this step, you will see your name (that you just entered), as well as a button that states "Add Additional Person". This will take you to a screen where you can add their information. You will need their full name, address, age range (i.e. 35-44), and e-mail address.

The final step of the online process will generate a barcode for each registered individual. Make sure you have ink and paper for your printer, because you will need to print this barcode and take it with you the sale. It will be checked against your identification at the the Vera Bradley Outlet Sale, which is scheduled from April 29, 2009 through May 3, 2009, at the Allen County Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

The Vera Bradley Company has a few incentives for those who do participate in advance registration:

  • a gift at checkout
  • a coupon for $10 off your purchase of $50 or more (valid only on Friday, May 1)
  • e-mails regarding special deals during the sale
  • coupons for other Fort Wayne area vendors

Overall, the Vera Bradley outlet sale advance registration process was rather easy. It took only a few minutes. I also signed up my mom, and can confirm that the "add additional person" feature was simple to use.

If you have any questions, feel free to post them below. Due to time constraints, I do not always get around to answering emails on a timely basis, so it's better to leave a comment here to get my attention - that way anyone else that has the same question will also have it answered too! Also, even if I do not know the answer, maybe one of our other visitors will be able to help...

Changes to the 2009 Spring Vera Bradley Outlet Sale

There are a couple of significant changes to the 2009 Spring Vera Bradley Outlet Sale in Fort Wayne, Indiana...

First up, I have been receiving e-mails from several of you asking when tickets will be available. Now I finally have the answer! In the past, the first day of the sale was reserved as the Friends of the Foundation Day. To attend this preview day, you needed to purchase tickets. It was a good idea to purchase them well in advance too, because they normally sold out quickly. Proceeds from the ticket sales were donated to the Foundation. Admission was free for subsequent days of the sale. [Read more...]

I Have the Dates for the Spring 2009 Vera Bradley Outlet Sale!

I know that many of you have been wondering when and where the Spring 2009 Vera Bradley Outlet Sale will take place. As a matter of fact, I get a couple of e-mails every day with just that question. I have to admit it - I have been curious too!

I have good news...

I finally know the answer! I just found out that the spring sale is scheduled for Wednesday, April 29th, through Sunday, May 3rd. It will again be held in Fort Wayne, Indiana, at the Allen County Memorial Coliseum.

If you live out of state, and are planning to make a trip to Indiana to attend the Spring 2009 Vera Bradley Outlet Sale, you may be interested to know that construction of a new six story Holiday Inn hotel right across the street from the Allen County Memorial Coliseum has just been completed. From this new hotel, you could literally walk to the sale- it's that close!

Well, that's all the details I have for right now, but as soon as I find out more, you can bet that I will post them here!

Final Word on the Fall 2008 Vera Bradley Outlet Sale

Just wanted to give everyone a final update regarding the Fall 2008 Vera Bradley Outlet Sale.

First, if you read my previous post with the price list, well - you can officially chuck it out the window.  On most items, the prices have been significantly reduced!  In the past, I have always hit the sale on the first day, and although I knew the prices dropped as the sale progressed, I had no idea how much they dropped!  Typically, I always spent so much on the first day that I avoided it after that first visit (gotta maintain the marital bliss, after all).  But today, I stopped in again, and I am so glad I did.

Here are some examples of the deals for Saturday... [Read more...]

Price List for Fall 2008 Vera Bradley Outlet Sale

I just returned from the Fall 2008 Vera Bradley Outlet Sale, and below you will see the price list.  I typed it out while watching the VP debate, so I will apologize now for any typos (I'm not the best at multi-tasking).

Just a few comments about this sale.  First, well...it ROCKED!  The selection and prices seemed better than what I have seen in the past, and I was surprised at how many 2008 fabric patterns were available: Puccini, Frankly Scarlett, Night Owl, Raspberry Fizz, Yellow Bird.  Of course, there were also plenty of recently retired patterns.

The prices were really good too!  It seemed in the past that most items were 40% off.  I think at this sale the majority of items were 50% off and more, and that's just the first day of the sale.  As it goes along, and especially by Sunday, the prices will drop even more.

My personal top "bargain hunter" pick - the Vera Bradley silk scarves.  They normally retail for $40.00, but at the sale they were only $5.00!  I stocked up, to say the least.

Well, enough chit chat.  Here's the list! [Read more...]

A Little More About the Fall 2008 Vera Bradley Outlet Sale

With a little more than a month to go until the Fall 2008 Vera Bradley Outlet Sale in Fort Wayne, I thought I would talk a little more about what you can expect to find there.  I remember the first sale I attended - I had absolutely no idea what to expect.  This is surprising, considering that I live in the Fort Wayne area, and each sale receives a lot of media coverage by our local newspapers, television news, and even radio stations.  However, none of these media outlets covered the questions I really wanted answered.

So, for this post, I’m going back in time, and remembering back to the questions that I had before I attended my first Vera Bradley outlet sale.  With any luck, hopefully these questions are some of the same ones that you may have, and you will be able to find your answers here.  If not, feel free to leave a comment below.

Fort Wayne to Play Host (Again!) to the Fall 2008 Vera Bradley Outlet Sale

I just received word a couple of days ago that the Fall 2008 Vera Bradley Outlet Sale will be held here in Fort Wayne the first week of October (Thursday 10/2 - Sunday 10/5).

If you are a regular visitor to this site, you may already know that Fort Wayne is my hometown. So, of course, I am completely thrilled that I will be able to attend the Vera Bradley Outlet Sale yet again this year! However, I almost feel bad about posting this, knowing that this location is not convenient for many of my readers. Although Fort Wayne usually is the site for the spring event, the fall sale is usually held in another state.

If you are considering making a road trip to Fort Wayne to attend the sale, you may want to check out some pictures I took when I attended it this spring, as well as the price list. The majority of items were 40% off, although I did hear that some things were further reduced as the sale progressed. I only attended the first day, and although I wanted to make a return trip, I couldn’t fit it into my schedule.

For those of you thinking of visiting Fort Wayne to attend the sale, the first week of October is a great time to visit! The autumn leaves are at their peak, and the weather is usually beautiful (as long as it’s not raining). Kendallville, a little town north of Fort Wayne, also has their Apple Festival scheduled for the first weekend of October. The Apple Festival is one of my favorite local events, and I look forward to it all year long. It has hundreds of craft booths, as well as some of the best homemade food you will find anywhere (famous Indiana pork tenderloins, vegetable soup, beef and noodles, apple cobbler, and much more...).

As you can see, I could go on and on, but to make a long post short, if you have any questions about the Vera Bradley outlet sale, or even about Fort Wayne and the surrounding area, feel free to leave me a comment below, and I will see if I can answer it for you...
