When is the next Vera Bradley Outlet Sale? I have had a lot of people ask me this question! Right now, the next sale is scheduled for April 28 - May 1, 2010, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. It doesn't look like there will be a fall sale this year. To keep current with news about the outlet sale, as well as giveaways and more, make sure you subscribe to my RSS feed or follow me on Twitter...

I just finished reading a post on Vera Bradley's Facebook page regarding the new fall 2008 fabrics.  Ok, so you may be thinking to yourself...

"We just wrapped up Memorial Day weekend, the kickoff to summertime activities.  The last thing I want to hear about is what's coming out this fall!"

I initially thought that too, but I'm just not good at keeping things to myself.  So what the heck, here's what you can expect to see from the Vera Bradley company in just a few more months...

Night Owl - This is a blue and black pattern.  I don't know much more, but I'm guessing by its name that it will be dark tones.

Puccini - This Fall 2008 Vera Bradley fabric is brown and dark orange.   Not exactly my taste in colors, but we'll have to see...

Caffe Latte - If this one lives up to its name, I'm going to love it!  From what I hear, it has shades of browns, creams and tans.

Frankly Scarlet - A little spin on Gone with the Wind, me thinks?  I have heard this red pattern described as "gothic".  Interesting, huh?

At this point, that's all I know.  If I can get my hands on some pics, you can bet that I will post them here.  I am going to check with my local Vera Bradley retail store - it seems to me that's where most of the Facebook members received their sneak peek.

UPDATE ON JUNE 19, 2008:

Hopefully by now everyone has seen pics of the new fall styles.  I just returned from my local Vera Bradley retail store, and I have to agree with Amy (see comments below), the fabrics are a lot better in person!  My two favorites are the Puccini and the Night Owl.

I took my camera with me - I wanted to get a few pictures to post here.  However, wouldn't you know it, my camera batteries were dead!  I considered running over to Walgreens to get some replacements, but my three year old had other plans. (I think he polished off my cup of coffee this morning when I wasn't looking.  Not really, but that's what I told the ladies at the VB store.  They tried to force a smile, but by the way they kept glancing at the door, I got the feeling they were anxiously waiting for us to leave!)   Anyway, we had to call it a day and go home for a nap...

That is so exciting! I’m such a Vera Bradley fan! Its actually kidna bad, over the past couple of years my addiction for Vera Bradley keeps on growing- and my wallet seems to be shrinking. :/ But basically… I LOVE your blog. :)

  2. Katie says:

OMG!! To see the new fall colors, go on EBay and type the name of the pattern and “Vera Bradley” behind it. (Example – Night Owl Vera Bradley)
They’re not as cute as I thought. Personally my favs are Night Owl and Frankly Scarlet.
    What is your favorite pattern?

  3. Dawn says:

Angela, Thanks – Unfortunately, I have that shrinking wallet problem too!

Missy, Thanks for the link to the great pic – it’s the best picture I have seen of the fall 2008 collection!

Katie, I think the new spring patterns were better. Of course, maybe that’s because I’m in a summertime frame of mind…

I’m having a tough time picking out my favorite. I think I will need to see them in person first. However, if I had to pick one now, I think it would be the Puccini, or maybe the Night Owl. I’m just not sure yet :-)

  4. amy says:

I agree that the spring colors were better. I like Puccini and my second choice would be caffee latte. Any idea what new styles of handbags are coming out?

  5. Dawn says:

I know the current tote is retiring, and they’re introducing a redesigned style. I’m hoping to make it to my local Vera Bradley store next week to check out the styles during their Fall Preview Event (June 16-23).

If anyone is interested, each participating retailer is giving away four free totes per store. Entries are accepted during the Preview Event, and the drawings will be held on the 23rd.

I heard the dates are june 16th-23rd for the preview and on the 23rd they pick the winners. You can go to vera bradley website to see what stores will be participating your area . I know they are introducing a new wristlet, an updated messenger bag and a new wallet too .

  7. Dawn says:

    Pat, thanks for the info!

i just finished looking at the new patterns and i would have to say that puccini is my favorite even though these new prints are not very cute and not as good as i thought. what happened to the cuteness and addiction of the old prints? i hope that the next line that comes out is not as disappointing…

  9. amy says:

Ok i made it to the store to see the bags. they are better in person for sure.
i liked the night owl alot in the store but not in pictures i saw on the internet so i think you have to see them.
I liked pucci as i thought i would, but not sure if it is too busy and i will get sick of it.
as far as new styles i got to look through the lady’s book at all new stuff.
there is a new hannah bag, very small hand bag for little girls. one new shoulder bag called maddie or maddison and that one is cute, kind of the width of the betsy but then a bit longer on the bottom and it is fully rounded on the bottom and the bag itself is pleated. you can’t see the pattern as well because of the pleating but i think a lot of people might like the bag. they also updated the travel bag, the side sling bag, and the rest of the stuff was talked about above already. go see them!

Amy, I’m glad to hear that the fabric patterns are better in person – now I’m really anxious to see them! I’m hoping to make it to my local store either Thursday or Friday…

  11. Emily says:

I really like the puccini bag, I am excited to see what all of the bags look like in person though, and also place my name is the drawing for a free tote.

  12. Emily says:

I have a question. Is there only 4 new colors this time, or are there more?

  13. Jessica says:

Yep, Emily, that’s all there is at this time. I didn’t think I would like Frankly Scarlet, but I liked it much better when I saw it in person. However, the Vera Bradley Puccini is still my favorite. Can’t wait to get one in the new tote style!

  14. amy says:

i agree, Frankly scarlet looks much different in the store than in any picture.
puccini is still my favorite too.
now that the drawing is over, did anyone win a new tote?
