I am so excited to be going this year! We are headed into Ft. Wayne tonight and are hoping to hit the sale tomorrow morning! I am a little nervous on details. We are pre-registered, so if we get there at 8, can we go right in at 8? Or, would we have to wait in line as only so many people are allowed in at a time? Just wondering what time my mom and I should get there tomorrow morning?

Hi Luanne, It’s hard to say. Last year they had sunglasses too, but if I remember right, they were gone the first day (I think within the first few hours of the sale). Of course, they may have more available (crossing fingers).

I saw on the website that rolling carts are not permitted. You will receive a big bag to put your purchases in.

You can get price updates by following Vera Bradley on Facebook or Twitter. You can also refer to the 2009 Vera Bradley Spring Outlet prices. These are listed on this website from the first day of the sale.

I went to the sale on a Friday two years ago and didn’t have to wait at all to check out. I hope this helps!

Hello, I’m attending the sale for the first time with my daughter-in-law. She mentioned new sunglasses by Vera Bradley and I wondered if they would be available on Friday? I’m assuming they’re fairly new to the line so they will not? If so, I may go early to get them for her as she cannot meet me until noon at the sale. How long before the sale opens should I get there to get in the building at a decent time? Will I be in line until noon? Having never experienced this phenomenon, I don’t know what to expect! LOL! From what I can gather though the line can be long to even enter the building as people get up at the crack of dawn to start forming? I live 45 min. away and need to plan a little. Thanks!

Hi Lynn, I’m not sure about coupons. Every year is different – after the sale starts, you could always give them a call to see if they have coupons this year.

Do you know if area vendors have coupons to the outlet sale? If so, who?
A few years ago, Panera Bread had them as well as stores in the Mall.

Markdowns are ongoing during the course of the sale, and they are made at random times during the day. There are even markdowns on day 1 and 2.

You stated that day 3 had markdowns. Do the markdowns start at the beginning of the day or do you have to wait towards the end to get the deals?

If I am correct, baby strollers were permitted last year and some used them to hold their purchases, but the shopping type cart was not permitted. Go figure! Babies and small children shouldn’t be at this event, it is so crowded. Hope things are improved this year as the lines for getting in and check out were horrific.

iam planning on going again this year. I was wondering the same thing about the carts on wheels…. I couldn’t remember if I used it last year. but I have in years past. I was also wondering what you ladies are thinking about the selection of items. With the “store” opening I was just wondering if it would be really old stuff. just a thought !
