When is the next Vera Bradley Outlet Sale? I have had a lot of people ask me this question! Right now, the next sale is scheduled for April 28 - May 1, 2010, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. It doesn't look like there will be a fall sale this year. To keep current with news about the outlet sale, as well as giveaways and more, make sure you subscribe to my RSS feed or follow me on Twitter...

I had heard rumors that QVC was adding my favorite handbag line to its product lineup.  However, I was recently surprised to find the new Vera Bradley Saddle Up bag on their website...

Why the surprise?  Well, I guess I just assumed that they would be carrying overstocks or discontinued items.  However, the Saddle Up bag is new for the fall 2009 season, and there it was, available on the mega-shopping channel's website, in fall's new colors of Blue Rhapsody, Carnaby and Pirouette.  At the time I saw it on their site, it was selling for about $6.00 less than the suggested retail price of $65.00.   Continue Reading »

I'm just curious what others think of the new Vera Bradley Pleated Tote.  Of the new fall 2009 styles, this is THE bag for me.  I love it!  However, I have to confess I always go for the larger bags - and at 14¾” x 14” x 5¼”, this one is big.  One of these days I will probably get a lecture from my chiropractor, but as a mother, there are just too many things that I can't leave home without!  I can fit everything I need (and want!) to carry in this bag.

However, in addition to its size, there are a few other reasons why this tote receives my vote for the best bag of 2009: Continue Reading »

The new Vera Bradley Fall 2009 patterns will be available in the next few days!  (UPDATE on 6/26/09:  Good news - as promised, the new patterns are now out!)

Here is a picture of the three new colors...

The new summer 2009 patterns, Vera Bradley Bali Blue, Bali Gold, and Calypso, have been out for about a month or so now.  Hopefully, you have had a chance to see them in person.  If not, here are some pics...

I'm still debating which of the three is my favorite.  While I sit here and ponder, I thought I would put up a quick poll to see what everyone else thinks.  So, here it is...

Which Vera Bradley Summer 2009 Fabric Pattern is Your Favorite?

It's so hard to pick a favorite, isn't it!

I like the overall look of Calypso. Nautical navy blue and crisp white looks great together, and it's a perfect color combination for not only summer, but really any time of the year.

However, I also really love the Bali Blue and Bali Gold fabric patterns.  Both feature a pretty tropical print of orchids and palm leaves.  The blue features cooler hues of ocean blue, with accents of white, green and brown.  The gold pattern, on the other hand, is in warmer tones of pink and plum on a sunny yellow background.

Vera Bradley Super Tote Cupcakes GreenI am a few months behind on this one, but did anyone else see Sarah looking at the Vera Bradley Super Tote in Cupcakes Green on Brothers and Sisters when she was shopping for a baby shower gift for Kitty?

I don't watch much television, but there are a few that I allow myself the guilty pleasure to watch.  However, I always record everything on our DVR (similar to a TIVO), so that I can skip through the commercials.  Anyway, I have several episodes of Brothers and Sisters recorded, and I'm just finally now getting around to watching them. The Vera Bradley Messenger Bag giveaway is now closed.  Thanks to everyone who entered!  I will be giving away even more great products here, so make sure you check back in...

It's time for another giveaway!  This time I am giving away a brand new Vera Bradley Messenger Bag in Mod Floral Blue.  The details regarding how to enter this giveaway can be found below.

Messenger bags are one of the most versatile styles on the planet!  I think that's why I love them so much.  I purchased my first one to carry back and forth to work.  At first, I thought I would just be stuffing paperwork in it, but I soon found I was using it for much more than that - water bottles, snacks, change of clothes, and other odds and ends.  It could carry practically everything, and I definitely put mine to good use!

Anyway, here's a picture of the one that you can enter to win...

I just returned home from Day 3 of the Vera Bradley Outlet Sale.  They still have a great selection, and now they are starting to mark their already low prices even lower.  Here's a quick look at some of the bargains I saw:

Curvy Totes (regular $62.00) - now only $10!  I picked up a few.  They had a great selection of colors available - Night Owl, Riviera Blue, Pinwheel Pink -  but they were going fast.

Cargo Sling (regular $90.00) - now only $15!  Again, they had a great selection, especially of the fall 2008 patterns, but some of the patterns were disappearing faster than they were being put on the table.

Baby Bags were only $35.00.  They still had a good selection of these, especially in both spring and fall 2008 patterns. Garment bags were under $30.  Large tic tac totes were around $15.00 - small ones were about $12.00. Continue Reading »

If you missed it, earlier today I posted the price list for the Spring 2009 Vera Bradley Outlet Sale. I am really excited about the prices this year. During previous sales, the prices generally started at 40% off, and were marked down a little more each day. This year, many of them are already starting at rock bottom! For example, the Cargo Sling, which normally retails for $90.00, was only $32.00. The Hipster, which costs about $55.00 full price, was only $18.00. Many of the items are starting at 60-70% off. I'm not sure how much more they will be marked down, but when I go back later this week, I will let you know. Continue Reading »

Hey everyone! I have had several people request that I post the Spring 2009 Vera Bradley Outlet Sale price list. I just returned home from the sale, and I have to say, the prices are great! As always, I'm sure they will be marked down even more as the sale progresses, but there are some really good deals, even on day one!

One more thing, I do have some pictures and other information about the sale that I want to share with you. Look for another post from me later today, and of course, if you have any questions or want to make a comment about the sale, feel free to leave a quick note.

Anyway, enough chit chat. Here's the price list... Continue Reading »

Hey everyone, I recently registered for the Vera Bradley Spring 2009 Outlet Sale. It's relatively quick and painless. Here are a few more details if you are thinking of doing the advance online registration...

The fee to do this is $5.00 per person. Only one registration per individual will be accepted. It's good for the entire five days of the sale, whether you plan to attend once or to attend multiple times.

Registrants must be 14 years of age or older, although children younger than fourteen can attend the sale. Actually, anyone (registered or not) can attend the sale. However, only those people who are registered can make purchases.

To avoid lines at the Outlet Sale, you may want to consider registering in advance. This can be done online by visiting:

https://www.evsminder.com/reg/verabradley/ftwayne09/attendee

PLEASE NOTE: Online registration is no longer available, but according to the Vera Bradley website, there is registration available on site at the Allen County Memorial Coliseum during the sale.

Step five of the pre-registration process does allow you to sign up other attendees. At this step, you will see your name (that you just entered), as well as a button that states "Add Additional Person". This will take you to a screen where you can add their information. You will need their full name, address, age range (i.e. 35-44), and e-mail address.

The final step of the online process will generate a barcode for each registered individual. Make sure you have ink and paper for your printer, because you will need to print this barcode and take it with you the sale. It will be checked against your identification at the the Vera Bradley Outlet Sale, which is scheduled from April 29, 2009 through May 3, 2009, at the Allen County Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

The Vera Bradley Company has a few incentives for those who do participate in advance registration:

  • a gift at checkout
  • a coupon for $10 off your purchase of $50 or more (valid only on Friday, May 1)
  • e-mails regarding special deals during the sale
  • coupons for other Fort Wayne area vendors

Overall, the Vera Bradley outlet sale advance registration process was rather easy. It took only a few minutes. I also signed up my mom, and can confirm that the "add additional person" feature was simple to use.

If you have any questions, feel free to post them below. Due to time constraints, I do not always get around to answering emails on a timely basis, so it's better to leave a comment here to get my attention - that way anyone else that has the same question will also have it answered too! Also, even if I do not know the answer, maybe one of our other visitors will be able to help...
