As many of you probably know, October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month. To kick off this special month, the Vera Bradley company is planning its fifth annual Tickled Pink event. This fundraising event will be held the evening of Friday, October 3, 2008, at the company's distribution center in Roanoke, Indiana. Tickets for the event are available for $75.00 per person. Details regarding purchasing tickets can be found here.
There is more than one reason to attend Tickled Pink. First and foremost, all proceeds benefit the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer. Second, it promises to be a fun girls' night out, complete with hors d'ouevres, cocktails, an exclusive Vera Bradley gift for anyone attending (hmmm, I wonder what it could be!), and as promised, a sneak peek at the Spring 2009 Vera Bradley fabrics, including Hope Garden, the 2009 Breast Cancer Awareness pattern. There will also be a special performance by popular Australian singer/songwriter Delta Goodrem.
Do you know what other big Vera Bradley event is taking place on October 3rd? That's right, Tickled Pink is the same weekend as the Outlet Sale! Make a day (and night) of it by attending both! Just make sure to get your tickets as soon as possible for the fundraiser, because I hear that they sell out quickly!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there will not be a fall sale this year
If I had to guess why, I think it’s due to the fact that they just opened their first outlet store – it’s located in Illinois. There will be a spring sale. It’s scheduled for April 28-May 1, 2010, and will be held at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
