Have you seen the Vera Bradley Imperial Toile in person yet? When pictures of this pattern first surfaced, I thought it was in shades of black and ivory. I have talked to several others who thought the same thing too, many who were disappointed to learn that the toile pattern had no black at all, but rather dark brown.
I have to admit that I'm torn. I really liked the idea of the black and ivory mix, just because it would look great with many of the fall and winter clothes I have in my closet. However, pinks and browns are one of my favorite color combinations too, and this fabric's pink accents are definitely eye catching (and really cute too!).
I also like that the designers at Vera Bradley are trying something new. I have always loved looking at pictures of rooms decorated with toile fabrics. It's something that I have even considered using to decorate my master bedroom. However, I would have never thought of using it for fashion accessories. It works, though, don't you think?
I think once I can get over my initial disappointment over the fact that this fabric is made with dark brown (and not black), a purse in the Vera Bradley Imperial Toile pattern will inevitably find its way into my wardrobe.
As always, I love to hear what everyone else thinks. Were you disappointed in the colors, or do you think the dark chocolate color combination is perfect? Weigh in by leaving a comment below...

I also thought it was black at first…but I have to say, I may love it in brown more! I have yet to actually be in person with this pattern, but pink and brown! Yes, please! Why else would I love the Mod Floral Pink so much? =)
hi,
the imperial toile is beautiful but would love it more in black and red.

The Imperial Toile pattern brought me back to Vera Bradley. I have bought multiple bags in this pattern plus a few in Java Blue. I’m looking forward to the new spring patterns.
