Vera Bradley Outlet Sale

The Vera Bradley outlet sale - so, what's the big deal?

Close your eyes and imagine thousands of Vera Bradley bags, marked down up to 75% off.  Sounds too good to be true, doesn't it?  Last year alone, 40,000 people attended the huge sale.  Most walked off with bags of bags, as well as big smiles on their faces!.

The 2008 sale is scheduled for May 1-3, with a special preview sale on April 30 for Friends of the Vera Bradley Foundation.  The sale is normally held at the Allen County Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, however I have not seen anything definitive regarding the location of this year's sale.  As soon as I know the location, I will post the information here.

At the Vera Bradley outlet sale, you will find both retired and current styles of handbags, accessories, and fabric patterns.  Products include both overstock items as well as factory seconds.

Obviously, Fort Wayne is not a vacation destination for most, but if you have some spare time after attending the Vera Bradley outlet sale, stick around and do a little sightseeing or shopping or even eating.

Looking forward to it - it will be here before we know it!

Update on 1/17/08

I called Vera Bradley today to verify the dates and location of their Fort Wayne outles sale.  They confirmed that it would be held at the Memorial Coliseum, but stated that the dates are still up in there.  Their website shows that it will be held April 30 - May 3, but I will keep my eyes glued to it to see if there are any changes.

Also, I asked if they gave factory tours.  I thought it would be fun to do, especially for any out-of-towners attending the event.  Unfortunately, they don't :-(

I will keep you posted if I find out any other information...

In the meantime, return to Discount Fabric Handbags home page to do a little shopping for Vera Bradley purses and accessories.

Another Vera Bradley Outlet Sale Update 2/8/08

It's official!  The 2008 outlet sale is scheduled for April 30 through May 3 and will be held at the Allen County Memorial Coliseum.  Admission to the sale is free May 1 - 3 (although you will need a couple of bucks for parking at the Coliseum).

Tickets to attend the first day of the sale on April 30th will be available through the Coliseum Box Office or through Ticketmaster.  They go on sale February 14, and trust me, they sell out quickly!  Ticket prices range $10 to $25.  If you're on the fence regarding whether you should purchase a ticket, I say go for it!  100% of the proceeds from the ticket sales are donated to the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer, so you can rest easy knowing it goes for a good cause!

All items are 25% to 75% off, so go crazy - but not too crazy!  Sales are limited to $2,500 per person.  I can just imagine my husband if I brought home $2,500 worth of Vera Bradley bags home - not good, not good at all!   I probably won't even spend a tenth of that limit, because I want to make sure I can go to the 2009 sale!  I can't wait...

2/14/08 Update - Got My Ticket!

A Valentine's gift for me - I just purchased my ticket to the Vera Bradley Outlet sale.  Tickets for the Vera Bradley Friends of the Foundation Preview Sale held on April 30 were available through Ticketmaster and the Memorial Coliseum Box Office starting at 10:00 a.m.  today.  Unfortunately, I wasn't able to log onto Ticketmaster until noon (when I took my lunch break at work), and already, almost all the tickets were sold out!  I was able to get in during the last session from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (whew!).  The ticket only cost $10.00, however, Ticketmaster added another $8.25 in fees.  It's all for a good cause, right?

I was also on the Vera Bradley website today and noticed that they made arrangements for special discounts at local hotels in the area.  If you will be coming in from out of town to attend the Vera Bradley sale, make sure you visit the website to check out the special deals!
