The signature cotton Vera Bradley totes are beautiful. Although several styles have undergone modifications thoughout the years, they continue to be my favorite bags to carry.
They are very easy to clean - any totes from the cotton fabric pattern lines can be thrown in the washing machine, although you will need to remove the bottom baseboard before putting them in the wash. However, please note that you can't machine wash the microfiber styles, although they also are easy to maintain by simply spot cleaning.
I always recommend the totes for anyone looking for a "first" Vera Bradley. They can be used in a number of ways - as a purse, as a bookbag, as a beach bag, as a diaper bag, even as luggage! I could keep going, but let's just say they are very versatile, and that's one of the reasons why I love them so much!

Even the super-sized super tote, which can hold more than just the kitchen sink, has a suggested retail price of under $100.00. Of course, by comparison shopping here, you can find many of the styles, including retired ones such as the tie tote, for substantially less than retail.
